Breckenridge USA

I am just back from an awesome trip to Colorado USA. I flew out to CO on the 24th of November for 2 weeks with the GB Team. We were staying right by the terrrain park in a HUGEE house at peak 8! Don't think I have ever been in such a big house, it slept 18 people and I had my own room which was amazing. The house had 2 hot tubs a cinema room and a huge pool table room!!! Both the freestyle team and the World cup teams were staying together. The Freestyle team consists of...

Nelson Pratt
Ed Gunn
Jack Shackelton
Laura Hill

Claire Frost
Kate Harrison
Laura Berry (PT)
Jamie Nichols (PT)
Jenny Jones (PT)

Lewis Courtier Jones (Elite Junior)
Aimee Fuller (Elite Junior)

The first couple of Days we rode at Keystone Mountain as it was the only resort with a terrain park up, that was good fun, many little Jibs and one Kicker. Mid week we had a massive snowfall which was good news as there had been lack of snow. It snowed on and off for 3 days and we ended up with 3 foot of Fresh powder right outside on the deck.

Copper pipe opened towards the end of the first week, the pipe was crammed with people and teams from all over the world getting in early season training and preparation for the Grand Prix. The pipe was in really good shape and on the 2nd to last day I got a Mctiwst on Lockdown, which I am looking forward to putting into a run!

Other than the good snow conditions, we got up to lots of other things, we prepared a huge thanksgiving dinner, aswell as bargain hunting in Silverthorne Outlets! I went with Kate Foster from the GB World Cup team, on what we thought was going to be a small shopping trip, but the Interstate came to a standstill due to the heavy snow and the Holiday makers on their way back to Denver after the thanksgiving period. So it took us 3 hours on a public bus, and we ended up having to hike along the carriage way for 2 miles to reach the mall but it was soo worth it in the end!

By the time my venture in the USA had come to an end, Keystone opened their big park and had a Kicker line open, which was perfect as I had 2 days practice there before the Roxy Chicken Jam In Kaprun Austria.
