Dachstein

Despite the wind and poor visibility up on the Hintertux Glacier, we managed to squeeze in a couple of good kicker days to get some practice before the Horsefeathers Pleasure jam. I found out the day before I had a starting position so myself, Jamie Nicholls aka PJ, Jack Shackelton and Lewis Courtier-Jones headed over to Schladming to hit up the 4* TTR Event.

The park was awesome, really nice floaty kickers, on Qualification day the women only got one run qualification due to bad visibility and high wind up on the Dachstein glacier. I stomped my first qualification run so that put me in a good position for the following day where we had our 2nd run. I stepped it up a notch and qualified in 4th place for the finals. In the finals I didn’t manage to lay down my tricks as planned, I finished up in 9th place so it wasn’t to bad for the first contest of the season. This put me at #16 in the World TTR Ranking. Check out the Whitelines review here.

At the moment I am currently on the train in the middle of the Alps traveling from Jenbach, Austria to Zermatt Switzerland. In total my journey should take around 8 hours, which isn’t too bad! Time for a break! I am heading to Zermatt to complete my level 2 BASI Instructor course.

London Freeze

This past weekend has been crazy, I had soo much fun. The finals of both the Snowboarding and Skiing were insane in fact I have never seen a skiing final quite like it. My friend Silje from Norway came over and we got down to some serious shopping on Oxford Street on Friday and chilled out for a few days at the London Freeze promoting the new JBL Roxy headphones, it involved a lot of dancing at our own silent disco! Check out the dude in the pink he was rocking. The public were loving it.
On the Sunday evening at the last minute I entered into the Burton rail jam for some fun, thanks to TSA for hooking me up with a complete set up so I could ride in the jam as I had no kit with me, was well worth it as I won an awesome LG touch screen phone, for doing a 5050 Fron
tflip out. The box was super fun and some crazy tricks were going down, Kim Rune Hansen threw down a front flip onto the box and front flip off, AMAZING
My new phone...

Also thanks
to Rowntree's for hooking me up with a massive box of their new Randoms, good stocking filler for my bro!  best candy ever, pretty random eh! Snowboarding and Candy???!

Bad weather

The glacier was closed for 2 days in a row, crazy winds, so we entertained ourselves by hiking up to the top gondola station to get the most amazing view of Saas Fee, on our journey up we came across some sheep! It was so much fun, singing on the way up to some crazy French techno! which I was introduced to by Silje, check her blog...

We spent the rest of the day cruising in the skate-park.
Today the mountain was open,  really good conditions just really icy. After our session on the mountain we came down for a lifestyle photoshoot with a Roxy Photographer, which was fun but we were freezing!  Can't believe how cold it is here, its meant to be -14 on the mountain tomorrow.

SAAS FEE

I travelled to Saas Fee in Swiss land yesterday, the journey was great apart from having to pay for my board bag on both flights gutted! I am on the Roxy Snow camp, staying in the Roxy room it's awesome. Having fun with all the girls! Went up the mountain yesterday, amazing weather just a tad icy. Today the mountain was shut due to heavy winds and an early season snowfall so we had fitness! Check out our sexy hair-bands.
Will keep you posted on what we are up to this week.

TRAVELING BACK AND FOURTH

I had my first day at Uni on Friday, I flew over to Bristol then got the train into Bath! Everyone was soo friendly and I am super happy as one of my fellow GB team mates Jamie Barrow is studying the same course as me, it is a complete coincidence as we discovered each other in the lecture room. It's great to have someone there that I know as I am studying as a part-time student so I will  be attending when I am not snowboarding. I am looking forward to making the most of the facilities that Bath Uni has to offer.

On Friday night I flew up to Glasgow for the TSA Big Bang Show at Braehead Xscape. It was a really fun action packed day, with lots of coaching, myself and Lesley taking the Roxy session. I had some free time to cruise the kicker with some of the locals which was fun
. Roxy had one of the coolest stands for sure as we had a chocolate fountain! Check back for the next snowboard show at Milton Keynes for the next all girls Roxy Coaching session and more chocolate fountain action!

I am now home for 5 days, quite a record and then I am off to Saas Fee in Switzerland  for the Roxy training camp!

BACK in England

I have been quite bust the last week, I flew over from Belfast last weekend to London and I went up to Bath University for a few days to check out the campus and the sports facilities. I am now attending there as a part time student studying a Sports Performance degree. I have never been to Bath before and I was really impressed, especially by the shopping!!!! I was loving the Superdry store, we deffinatley need one in BELFAST! <--- Check out the people statues in Bath they literally did not move the whole weekend I was there!

I am just back from Tammworth, this past weekend I spent in a Snowdome, I was in London on Friday checking out the Roxy Office, that was cool to see were all the magic happens! I then travelled with some of the Roxy crew, Michelle and Hannah up to Tammworth Snowdome for the Big Bang TSA show. Other than the fact we got totally lost when we arrived and drived for 40 miniutes in a circle and turned up at someones house rather than the Holiday Inn, we blame it on the TOM TOM. I was runing the all girls Roxy Coaching session, that went really well and all the girls had a great time and learned lots riding the boxes and the wee jump. I will be up in Glasgow next week for the next TSA event, so see you guys there for some more shred action!

Home sweet home....

I have been home now for just over a week, time fly's! My journey back home was surprisingly good considering the amount of stops I had to make. Queenstown, Christchurch, Sydney, Bangkok, Dubai, London, BELFAST!

It has been pretty hectic since I got home but good fun. Brilliant to see all my family and friends again. Last weekend I spent up at the North Coast surfing, I took part in the Roxy Surf days with a few friends, was also great to catch up with some of my Roxy team mates, (SURFERS)! Candice O'donnell and Sophie Hellyer. Also managed to squeeze in some wakeboarding whilst the girls where over, so we went down to Gaston's boat.
Thanks to Candice and Sophie for the surfing tips! and Troggs surf school for putting on an awesome event.

NZ Winter GAMES *PODIUM*

Yesterday was a hectic day but super fun. We drove over to Queenstown early morning for the FIS Remarkables NZ Winter games. I had a solid run in the finals which put me into 3rd place, my first podium of the season. The course was  very challenging with very whippy takeoffs, one of my friends got concussed on her last run of the slopestlye course so we ended up in the Hospital late last night, the good news is that Britte is now fine after being under the watchful eye for a few hours and was back on the slopes today shredding!

I am really happy with my result and can't wait now until the Northern Hemisphere winter kicks off back in Europe. I have a few pictures here, many thanks to the guys at JDP Images

Jumping from the Sky

Today I finally had the opportunity to skydive, blue bird skies, and wispy clouds. I had soooo much fun it was such an adrenaline rush, like nothing I have ever felt before. I pretty much screamed the whole way down from the moment we exited the plane, which of course was in style with a backflip!  NZ is a beautiful place, the scenery is wild. I had wee Skydive crew with me. Ben from the UK and 3 Norwegian rippers, Lisa, Linn and Helena. I got this awesome video thanks to Sky Dive Lake Wanka which I will show you guys when I have a moment to put it up. Here is a pic of the crew for now...

Having fun in NZ, I had the NZ open last week which was pretty hectic, that was going really well for me and then the qualifications got cancelled. I was in 4th place and we had to do a rerun 2 days later, I fell in my run doing a backflip so ended up in 28th place! The course is perfect right now as the Open is now over so I am working on perfecting a few tricks. Skydiving tomorrow, will let you know how that goes, can't wait.

Diamond Lake

Pic 1 - Gymnastics with Noel Baxter! aka Tooth.

Coming up for my 3rd week now in NZ, we had the day off today and went to check out some sights. We climbed up a wee mountain to view Diamond lake and view the rest of Lake Wanaka. It was super warm down in the Valley today so I thought it would be a good idea to get my flip flops out, little did I know I was going to be hiking! My feet are feeling worse for wear now though!

New Zealand

I am currently in NEW ZEALAND! So happy to be back on the slopes, I had a really good journey here, I flew from Toronto over to Queenstown, the longest flight was 13hours, which in the end was not tooo bad! I slept most of the way! I am here with one of my Roxy team mates, BRITTE VAN DER POUW! We have had an awesome first week, despite some severe winds, really looking forward to riding the kickers the park set up is amazing! Also we have had alot of snow, so we had the opportunity to ride some amazing powder this morning. While I am here I am also hoping to do either some Bungy Jumping or skydiving so I will let you know how that goes

Peace
